Krystina McNeil

Midwife

"I spent almost thirty years in Southeast Asia, working as a midwife educator, clinical director, and midwife. During my time there, I set up a clinic for underprivileged communities, where we've helped deliver more than 35,000 babies."

My name is Krystina McNeil (but my family and friends call me Krys), and I am a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) and a Licensed Midwife (LM) in the state of Minnesota.

My journey in midwifery and education started when I arrived in the Philippines and realized how much I loved both fields. Since then, I’ve thrown myself into these passions. I spent almost thirty years in Southeast Asia, working as a midwife educator, clinical director, and midwife. During my time there, I set up a clinic for underprivileged communities, where we’ve helped deliver more than 35,000 babies. My husband and I also founded an international midwifery school that has trained over 300 midwives.

After handing over our work in The Philippines to one of our program graduates, I was offered an opportunity to pursue my passion in Minnesota, where I joined forces with another graduate, Jenny Hall, who co-owns New Birth Midwifery. Alongside my work here, I’ve been focused on expanding our midwifery training program, originally established years ago, to offer a combined stateside and overseas option.

Outside of work, my family brings me so much happiness. My husband Matthew and I have been married for over thirty years, and we’re proud parents to two daughters, Josie and Jessica. And now, we’re overjoyed with the newest addition to our family, our granddaughter Isla Marie.
