At New Birth Wellness Center, we value our clients being fully supported by a team – our birth assistants are carefully chosen and trained by us and are fully trained and certified in CPR and NRP.
Our Birth Assistants are our resident midwives and clinic assistants and occasionally another one of our midwives. So these will be people as familiar to you as the primary midwife at your birth since they will also be very involved in your prenatal care from the beginning.

My name is Madison, and I am the Clinic Nurse at New Birth Wellness Center. I obtained my nursing degree at the College of St. Scholastica and have a background working in labor & delivery and the NICU.
I fell head first into the world of natural medicine in my early adult life and explored the career of midwifery; however, raising a family has taken priority, so I am thrilled to be able to fill that cup through birth assisting and spending time at the clinic with all our lovely clients.
I first fell in love with New Birth and their vision as a client when pregnant with my sweet daughter & it is such a joy to now be part of the team. When I am not attending births, you can find me watching (and sobbing over) birth videos, mountain biking, DIYing, or any activity that involves a lot of sunshine with my daughter and husband.

My name is Alison and I am a Clinic Nurse at New Birth Midwifery. I graduated with my Bachelors in Nursing in 2012 from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. In high school, I knew I wanted to be involved in all things birth and postpartum and have since developed a love of natural medicine along the way. I love being apart of the New Birth team where I get welcoming new life with an integrative approach.
When I’m not helping mamas and babies, I am raising my 3 children alongside my amazing husband, serving in my church, spending time with friends, cooking, and baking sourdough.
I’m Tara, a Certified Nurse-Midwife and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. I earned my Bachelors in Nursing from Minnesota State University Moorhead and for many years worked in Emergency Medicine, NICU, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Postpartum, Lactation, L&D, and home birth.
My own birth and breastfeeding journey ignited a sincere interest in birth, midwifery, and supporting women through their own birthing and breastfeeding experiences. I served as a La Leche League Leader for the Fargo-Moorhead area before finishing graduate school at Frontier Nursing University with a Master of Science in Midwifery.
We then moved to the Twin Cities area, where I worked at the Minnesota Birth Center before purchasing a home in Eden Prairie and joining the team at New Birth in Chaska. In my free time I enjoy running, practicing yoga, and spending time with my husband and three active boys, often traveling to the family lake cabin in the summer.

My name is Hannah and I have been the Office Manager at New Birth since August of 2023. I have always had an interest in midwifery but the timing was never quite right for me to go back to school. When my long time friend Jenny posted that NBWC was looking for an Office Manager I knew this was the opening for me to dip my toes into the water!
I love being a part of the New Birth family – using my skills for administration and leadership in a way that also allows me to help support new families as they grow. My husband and I have been been married for 21 years and we have a son who graduated high school in 2023 and just finished a trip to Sweden doing ministry with a church there. We live in Corcoran and enjoy gardening and listening to crickets from our sunroom on quiet evenings.

Hi! I’m Terrece, the Office Manager at New Birth. I joined the team in September 2025, though New Birth has been close to my heart for years — I even welcomed my youngest baby here earlier this year!
With a strong background in management and billing, I love blending my organizational skills with my lifelong passion for birth work. Originally from Wisconsin (Go Pack Go!), I caught my first baby at 17 while living in California — an experience that changed my life.
I’m a certified birth and postpartum doula with over 300 births attended. My fascination with pregnancy and postpartum led me to study Sociology/Anthropology and Gender & Women’s Studies at Gustavus Adolphus College, and later pursue nursing before realizing my true calling was hands-on doula care.
Outside of work, I’m a mom of four, a Girl Scout troop leader, and a Cub Scout helper. I love traveling, cheering at dance competitions, and managing my family’s full calendar. I’m so grateful to support families through such a meaningful season of life — both behind the scenes and in the birth space.

I am so excited to be working at New Birth as I am very passionate about women having a voice in their care and being empowered to do what their body was made to do! I have always been interested in birth and have loved getting to be a part of helping women find the care that is right for them.
A little about me: I’m an artsy girl who loves her hobbies. I will pick up any form of art and give it a try. I also love being outside and I play lots of pickleball. I will drop everything to go on an adventure and will never say no to something new. I was born and raised in Southwest Michigan but moved to Minnesota for college and found love. I am married to the best guy in the world and we love to go on hikes, traveling, and hanging out with friends.

Hi! I am Jillian, the Billing Manager at New Birth. I joined the team in September 2025 and work remotely from my home in Two Harbors, MN.
I have been working in billing for Birth Centers and Midwifery care since 2017. I am very passionate about midwives and the extraordinary care they provide to the community. I am honored to be a part of the team at New Birth! Insurance is one of the most complex and confusing industries, if you have questions or concerns I am available to help you!
When not working I am a mom of two awesome kiddos, one sweet dog and several crazy chickens. We live in the woods close to Lake Superior and I love to spend my time at the big lake, paddling one of the many lakes in MN, hiking trails in the woods and tending to my garden at home.
Hi! My name is Natalie, and I’m excited to welcome you at the front desk at New Birth. I am currently studying Intercultural Ministry and am so close to the finish line!
I’m also thrilled to be immersed in the world of midwifery as I pursue a similar career path serving families overseas in the future. It is a privilege to be part of New Birth’s team of knowledgeable and compassionate midwives and caregivers, supporting you and your family through some of life’s most meaningful journeys.
When I’m not at New Birth, you can often find me exploring wooded trails, sharing meals with friends, admiring wildflowers, or reading a good nonfiction book. One of my greatest joys is hearing people’s stories and discovering the unique wisdom each person has to offer. I look forward to meeting you and, perhaps, hearing some of your inspiring stories as well!
At New Birth Midwifery, we value the inclusion and mentoring of the future generation of midwives. Our students have been carefully screened and are enrolled in a midwifery program for the didactic portion meaning they have set goals for their clinical training with us.
We always value client feedback on student involvement and you do get many choices in your care team, however, we are confident you will love our students as much as we do!

Hi! My name is Ellie, and I’m currently training with New Birth to become a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM). Midwifery has been a lifelong dream of mine, so I’m beyond excited to finally be on this path!
I graduated from Bethany Global University in 2024 with a degree in Transformational Entrepreneurship and Bible and Theology. My husband and I feel called to serve internationally in the future, and I hope to use my midwifery skills to support and care for families wherever that journey takes us.
I’m a proud plant mom, I love cooking and baking for my friends and family, and I spend as much of my free time outside as I can.

Hi, I’m a student midwife attending the Midwives College of Utah, working toward becoming a Certified Professional Midwife by the end of 2026. My journey began in 2018 as a doula, but I’ve always felt called to midwifery. After completing my Liberal Arts degree in Wisconsin, I eventually landed in Minnesota—drawn by both family and the vibrant birth community here.
I believe birth is a powerful, sacred experience that deserves respect, autonomy, and individualized care. I ground my work in evidence-based practice while honoring the physiological and transformative nature of birth. I love incorporating herbal remedies into my clinical care, and I’m committed to walking alongside each birthing person with informed guidance and steady support. When I’m not studying or in clinic, you’ll find me with my cat, spending time with friends, or with my nieces and nephews.
Peace & Blessings!
I’m Trinity, a Primary Under Direct Supervision learning midwife.
I am a graduate of Southwest Tech’s Direct Entry Midwifery Program and recently moved to Minnesota to complete my clinical experiences at New Birth.
I was born and raised in the small town of Springfield, Ohio, by my mother and father, and have the privilege of being the only girl out of four children. My journey into midwifery began at the age of 14 when I attended my first birth here in Minnesota. After that summer experience with my beloved aunt, I became a doula, and shortly afterward, at the age of 16, I began attending home births with my community midwife.
My long-term goal is to return to Ohio once competency is met and provide families with the love, respect, and truly autonomous care they deserve.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, photography, creating art, spending time with family/ friends, and resting.
My name is Sophia Belden, and I am a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) and Licensed Midwife (LM) in Minnesota.
I was born and raised in Minneapolis. My journey to becoming a midwife has taken me all across the world. After exploring training pathways in Canada, Australia, and the United States, I discovered the United Kingdom’s direct-entry midwifery degree and soon found myself moving across the pond, drinking loads of tea and living a real-life Call the Midwife experience. I completed my degree and trained within the NHS in England, where midwives provide primary maternity care to all women throughout the pregnancy continuum.
During my final year, an observational placement at a birth center in spokane sparked my passion for American midwifery care. After graduating, I volunteered in maternity hospitals in Tanzania before returning to Minnesota to become a CPM.
I am passionate about providing respectful, evidence-based, and holistic care to every family. I believe everyone deserves safe, compassionate maternity care, regardless of their background, identity, or circumstances, and I feel honored to walk alongside families during one of the most transformative seasons of their lives.
Outside of midwifery, I love travelling, exploring new cultures, and spending time outdoors. More often than not, you’ll find me jetting off on a plane somewhere, but when I’m staying closer to home, I enjoy roller skating, ice skating, baking, and spending time with my family and friends.
Hello! My name is Chasya, though I often go by Chaz.
I am a student midwife currently enrolled in the Midwifery Program at Southwest Wisconsin Technical College (SWTC). I live on the North Shore of Lake Superior with my husband and our three children, where we enjoy the beauty of nature, spending time with our large extended family, and being part of a close-knit community.
My passion for midwifery is rooted in my love for family, health, and holistic care. I am passionate about health and wellness and enjoy helping others pursue wellness in ways that support the whole person. I am committed to providing compassionate, respectful care and helping every family feel supported, informed, and empowered throughout their journey. As I continue my education, I look forward to growing under the mentorship of experienced midwives and developing the knowledge, skills, and wisdom needed to serve families as a trusted, holistic caregiver. I am honored to be a part of your journey.
I love spending time outdoors—whether hiking with my kids, gardening, or simply appreciating the beautiful creation. During the winter months I love being curled up by a warm fireplace and enjoying “bringing the outdoors in” through my growing collection of houseplants.
