Kayla Oduor

Midwife

From pregnancy through postpartum, I believe every woman deserves to feel safe, heard, and honored, regardless of her background.

My name is Kayla (Kay) Oduor, I am a certified professional midwife (CPM) and licensed midwife (LM) in the state of Minnesota. From a young age, I felt drawn to healthcare and serving families around the world. As I explored different career paths, midwifery continually stood out to me. During my time studying at Moody Bible Institute, a friend asked if I had ever considered becoming a midwife. That simple question confirmed what I needed to begin this journey. In 2022, I enrolled at the National College of Midwifery and moved to the Philippines, where I began my training and fell in love with this deeply relational work. I developed a love for education, empowering women with knowledge about their bodies, their babies, and their options – especially in settings where resources were limited. From pregnancy through postpartum, I believe every woman deserves to feel safe, heard, and honored, regardless of her background.

In January 2026, I joined the team at New Birth Midwifery. I am so thankful that I get to serve families in this community every single day! When I am not attending births or in clinic, you might catch me jamming to music in my car, flying whenever I can, or out and about learning new activities/hobbies and connecting with others.
